We, at Tolani, believe in empowering our students. And knowledge empowers! Keeping abreast of latest events, developments in various professions and conventional and latest career avenues is a must today. Placement Cell has been with our students in making career choices and taking the big leap in the corporate world through placements.
Facilitating the administration of Psychometric Tests by a professional Counselor. These tests help the students in analyzing their personality, interests and aptitude.
The College then goes a step further to assist in placements of its graduating students by organizing:

Counselling Services
A student may be troubled by interpersonal conflicts and identity crisis. In addition to this, there is family and peer pressure to perform their best on academic and other fronts. Counselling is an effective tool in this process of resolving such issues.The Institution has appointed a professional psychological and career counselor in collaboration with ‘Prafulta Psychological Services’. This service is provided free of cost to our present learners.
Grievance Redressal Cell
The Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) aims to look into the complaints lodged by any student and redress it as per requirement. The students can state their grievance regarding any academic and non- academic matter within the campus through the online and grievance/ suggestion box. The institution aims at solving the grievances of the students within stipulated tacademic and non- academic matter within the campus through the online and grievance/ suggestion box. Anti-Ragging Committee
As per University Grants Commission Notification on the Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009 and in pursuance to the Judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 08.05.2009 in Civil Appeal No. 887/2009, Tolani College Of Commerce and its Constituent Colleges constituted the Anti Ragging Committee. These Regulations are available on the UGC website www.ugc.ac.in & www.antiragging.in
Ragging is a criminal offence and UGC has framed regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions in order to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging.
Women’s Cell / Gender Sensitization
In response to the Vishaka Judgment passed by the Supreme Court in 1997, University of Mumbai set up the ‘University Women Development Cell (UWDC)’ in 2001 with the key purpose of making the University a gender-sensitive space. The University also directed all its affiliated colleges to set up a ‘Women Development Cell’ at the college level. In compliance with this directive of the University, the Women Development Cell of Tolani College of Commerce was set up in the year 2006-07.
A variety of activities and initiatives are undertaken by the Cell:
- To create a safe campus for the lady students and staff.
- To address cases of sexual harassment, if any.
- To create awareness about the challenges faced by women including health related issues, women’s right and empowerment.
- To promote gender sensitization and equality.
