The Self Financing Dept. of  Tolani College of Commerce organised an intercollegiate workshop called Eureka! The most awaited workshop of the year for the self financing students. This workshop was conducted to highlight the important parameters of semester VI examination and guide them.
The seminar had eminent speakers for various technical subjects for BMS, BAF, BBI, BFM & B.Sc I.T. One of the prominent personality was Dr Richa Jain, BMS coordinator at Thakur College addressed the students by telling the importance of not only the course books that we as students are ought to read for exams but also to know of all the things happening in the world through external reading and knowledge. She also highlighted the importance of presentation in the answers we write from the examiner’s point of view.
Later, the session moved on to the technical aspects where the eminent resource persons spoke on various  technical subjects and the associated paper pattern with regard to different self financing subjects. We had 14 colleges participating in the workshop.

Eureka '15 Share, Learn & Innovate

Workshop On preparation of Semester Examination for

B.M.S, B.A.F., B.B.I., B.Sc. I.T, & B.F.M.

Held on the 14th of September 2015 the self-financing Section of our college organized an intercollegiate workshop for its students & faculty. Eureka also went paperless this year. We published the event through circulation of E-brochure, E-program schedule & also displayed E-banner at the time of the Event. This was done to go in line with our Principal, Dr. A.A. Rashid, noble thought to make the campus Plastic free & Save trees. The objective of the workshop was to help students in preparation for their semester examination student for their semester examination.  120 students participated in this work shop. The key note address was given by Dr Madhu Nair, Principal of Nirmala Foundation College, who shared is vast knowledge and expertise with students and faculty.  He addressed the students with various issues and problems related to university exam which creates stress among the students. He also highlighted key areas where students loose marks. One such area which plays a vital role is the presentation of answers in the answer sheets. He even advised to be extra cautious when it comes to university examination which will save students from negative repercussions and have a bright future ahead. His session was a stress reliever for every student sitting in the workshop. The Program session was chaired by 19 resource person who had vast subject experience & expertise with student’s different programs. We had 25 colleges participating from all over Mumbai & Thane.

It was truly a learning session, shared by elite resources persons which will definitely help students & faculty innovate further.

The bright afternoon of 21st February 2015, the Self Financing Course section of Tolani College of Commerce had organized a one day Intra-Collegiate fest, EUREKA ’15. The theme of the event wasMONOPOLY.
The event was inaugurated on the 5th floor of the college premises by the Principal Dr. A.A.Rashid.
The fest was jointly held by the students and faculty of the self financing courses that are BMS, BAF, BBI, BFM and Bsc.i.t who had organized different events based on management, finance and technical expertise. There were a total of 7 events from all the respective programs.

 

 

The Self Financing Department of Tolani College of Commerce had organized an intercollegiate fest under EUREKA Association.  The aim of the workshop was to discuss the Courses of Semester VI of B.M.S, B.Com. (A. & F.), B.Com. (B.&I.), B.Com. (Financial Markets) Programs. We had faculty and students participating from 14 colleges all over Mumbai. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Madhu Nair, Dean University of Mumbai. 

He enlightened the audience with his vast knowledge and constructive ideas. Dr. Madhu Nair’s friendly approach made the workshop more collaborative.  

Post the inauguration function faculty & student’s respective rooms were allocated to each program where student and faculty interacted with each other. The resources persons educated the students about the strategies and techniques to understand their subjects better and provide with resourceful knowledge of how to prepare for their coming final examination

The seminar was concluded and achieved the objective of providing a platform for the professors to share their experience and expertise with students  and the students to come together and exchange their ideas and find answers to their queries. This workshop would definitely help students in preparation of their semester VI examinations.

Management Edureka

The Self Financing department of Tolani  College of Commerce had organized an Inter Collegiate Management Event ‘Management Edureka ‘for the Academic year 2013 – 2014 on  15th February, 2014.

As quoted by Albert Einstein “The true sign of intelligence is not intelligence but imagination” rolling in the tandem of our college “Knowledge is Supreme” the objective of the seminar was to spread knowledge and creating a platform for overall development of students through talks by eminent people from varied fields of management.

Edureka hosted guest lectures by three experienced and eminent speakers to address the gathering on various dimensions of management. 

Prof. K. Sunil Unni who is an educator-and-trainer addressed the students on the topic “Campus to Corporate”, he threw light on aspects that students need to focus on for a smooth transition from Campus to Corporate world.

Shri. D. Sivanandhan who is a Retired D.G. Police spoke on 'Management in Public Administration'; he spoke about the life of police personnel in the state and the various initiatives that have been taken for their betterment, and his speech was highly appreciated by the participating audience.

Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, author of the book titled ‘Corporate Chanakya’ addressed the students and enlightened the audience on the secrets of leadership skill, he emphasized upon ‘Seven secrets of Leadership’ qualities that today’s youth need to inculcate and implement.

Eureka-2012

The self financing section –BMS department had organized a one day event-“EUREKA-Walk the GREEN way” with a motive of creating awareness among the students regarding the importance of the environment.

There were various games and competitions to showcase student’s talents like “what an idea sirji”, “I can talk”,” I’m Ad crazy”, “business quiz”, “minute to win it”. While this was happening the FYBMS students exhibited their business model, the winning entry was the recycling company.
